Kaiser’s Throne, Corfu
Apr 11th, 2007 by Oana
Much of the Western part of Corfu was still closed for low season when we were there, so we spent our first couple of days just hiking around beaches and olive groves and sleepy villages like Pelekas. On a whim, we followed a sign that said “Kaiser’s Throne” to reach this view point. Supposedly, Kaiser Wilhelm II liked to come up here to enjoy the sunset.

This view is looking north-east across the narrow channel of the Ionian Sea separating Corfu from Albania. If you look carefully, you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Albanian mountains.
