I’m going to give it a try: no registration necessary for commenting on this blog for the next month. I know it’s a bit of a pain to register, but Akismet has caught a tonne of spam comments since we started the blog. Hopefully it will continue to do so.

As someone who gets about 100 spam comments a day, I recommend Dr. Dave’s Spam Karma 2, with the Akismet plugin.
If it causes a lot of problems, turn off the ‘granularity’ feature.
