Real autumn

There are hardly any trees in Edinburgh, so it was a treat to be in Poland at a time when the leaves changed colours and fall really set in. Well, maybe except for the sub-zero temperatures in our last couple of days there - we could have done without those.
The Stare Miasto (old town) in Krakow is surrounded by the Planty, a belt of parkland with benches and fountains and best of all, trees! The Planty used to be the site of the defensive walls surrounding the Stare Miasto, but it’s now a place for walking dogs, babies and lovers.
