Unfortunately the landlady has said no to having cats in the apartment. I was starting to have second thoughts about the wisdom of leaving a young kitten (of a breed which takes about 5 years to mature) alone or in a cattery over extended periods of time while we are travelling. Perhaps I’ll just have to make some human friends!
